This policy applies to the lever website. The Shopify app lever: Bundles & Discounts has its own privacy policy.

Visiting the website

When you open a page, our server stores a technical log: IP address, time, requested address, the page you came from and your browser's identifier. We need this to deliver the website securely and without errors. The legal basis is our legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We delete the logs after 14 days.

The server is located in a data center of IONOS SE in Germany. IONOS processes the data on our behalf under Art. 28 GDPR.

Language

The website is available in German and English. On your first visit, your browser picks the language based on its time zone and language setting, and this happens only on your device. If you switch the language in the menu, your browser remembers the choice in local storage (localStorage) so the page appears in the same language on your next visit. This information stays on your device and is not sent to us. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in showing you the page in your language (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). You can delete it at any time through your browser's website data.

Waitlist

If you join a waitlist, we store your email address, the app you are interested in, whether you also want to hear about new lever apps, and the times of sign-up and confirmation. To protect against mass sign-ups by bots, we also store a shortened check value (hash) of your IP address that is regenerated every month. We do not store the IP address itself.

After you sign up, we send you an email with a confirmation link (double opt-in). Only once you open it are you on the list, and you get a short confirmation that it worked. If you do not confirm, we delete the entry after 30 days.

We only use your address for the launch email and, if you ticked the box, for short notes about new lever apps. Without that box, we delete your address after the launch email. The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw it at any time, through the unsubscribe link in every email or with a short message to us. We then delete your address immediately.

The entries are stored on our server at IONOS in Germany, and the same server sends the emails as hello@scalewithlever.com. We do not pass your address on to anyone and do not use a newsletter service.

Ideas, questions and emailing us

If you send us an idea or question through the form, your message reaches us by email, together with your email address if you provide one, the language and the page you are writing from. We do not store the message on the website. To protect against mass messages by bots, we store a shortened check value (hash) of your IP address with a timestamp for 24 hours. If you provided an address, you get a short confirmation of receipt that does not contain your message.

If you write to us, whether through the form or by email, we use your details to reply (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). We delete the messages once the matter is settled and no statutory retention obligation applies.

Links to other websites

The website links to wipplingerconsulting.at, to the app's privacy policy and later to the Shopify App Store. Only when you open such a link do the privacy notices of that site apply.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. To exercise them, write to us at office@wipplingerconsulting.at. You can also lodge a complaint with the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection in Cyprus or with the supervisory authority of your country.

Changes

If the way this website processes data changes, we update this policy. The date below shows the current version.
